    About Harriet Mountford:

Harriet Mountford (Soprano) was born in 1990 and grew up in the hills of Herefordshire. On leaving school she moved to Dublin, where she sang in the choir of Christ Church Cathedral under the direction of Judy Martin, and with the Charles Wood Singers, directed by David Hill. Whilst in Dublin Harriet studied singing with Lynda Lee at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Subsequently, Harriet moved to Edinburgh where she continued her studies with Peter Wilson. She sang in many consorts including Sospiri Baroque, and performed at St Mary’s Cathedral as part of the Edinburgh Festival.

In 2010 Harriet commenced University studies, graduating from the University of York with First Class Honours in Music. As a First-Study Singer, Harriet specialised in performance and historically informed technique. She studied singing with both Yvonne Seymour and Rachel Nicholls, and worked regularly with Paul Farrington. Whilst at York Harriet had a busy performing career both as a soloist and consort singer with many ensembles, including University Chamber Choir, Spectrum Ensemble, and Incognito with whom she performed in the UK’s premiere concert for the European Day of Early Music 2013, under the direction of Robert Hollingworth.

Since graduating Harriet has moved to Berkshire, where for the past three years she has been studying singing and performance privately with Jane Highfield. She enjoys a varied career of oratorio, recital and consort singing, and continues to build on her opera performance opportunities. Further engagements this year include a performance of Requiem in C minor (Haydn) and Coronation Mass (Mozart) for Axminster Choral Society, and a recital of English Song back in her home county of Herefordshire.

We're pleased to be able to put together this 4 band bill for The Mets stage - If you're into the new indie guitar bands currently making real headway on the UK live music scene - bands such as The 1975, Catfish, Blossoms, The Sherlocks etc then this is a gig to come and check out
The Scruff may be new to Peterborough but they've been making some serious headway nationally! Their current single ' Her' was recently all over Radio 1's playlist as the 'BBC Introducing Radio 1 track of the week'
The single is available everywhere now:
    Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/album/6NGtFeUqAT4WyaFDBbpXRH
    iTunes & Apple Music

A bit about the band - The Scruff—A sartorially elegant four piece from Bedford, England, The Scruff are steeped in the English tradition of quirky guitar-pop, evoking the classic song writing of The Kinks and The Jam and the prime Brit-Pop hooks of Blur and Supergrass with a new age twist.
The Lucky Lessons are a new alternative rock band from Peterborough, United Kingdom. If you remember Peterborough bands The Midnigfht Birds and Paizx Amour then you’ll recognise the members of The Lucky Lessons! - have a listen to a rough track here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBJJ_TtVSWs&feature=youtu.be
    Joining the line up are
Vigilantes - energetic Indie Rock. Their live shows have rightfully earned them support slots with bands such as: The Subways, Man Made and The Sherlocks, with their latest singles "Rather Be You Instead" "What A Shame" and "Fairweather Friends" having received fantastic responses from BBC Introducing.
They've just completed a smal lUK tour - definately for fans of indie guitar music. - have a listen to this - tinyurl.com/ya2ypf5l
    Check them out at https://www.facebook.com/vigilantesmusicuk/
"I love it. I love them so much. They take me back to my youth; they sound like Manic Street Preachers in their heydey, from when Richie was with them" - Dean Jackson, BBC Introducing

Among The Citizens - a new 4 piece Indie alternative band aged between 16-17 in the Peterborough area. Musical influences are mainly based on bands such as 'The Arctic Monkeys', 'The 1975', 'Swim Deep', 'The White Stripes' and many more. These guys suppoirted The Extons at The Met the other week and madew a really good impression on those that matter - ie the customers. Good to see a young guitar band coming through in the area.
