Starting the day with a fun warm up, then RUN..., WALK or SKIP your way around 5km of festiveness at one of the UK's largest Santa Runs & Walks!
Everyone receives a FREE Santa Suit and Awesome Finisher's Medal.

Best Dressed Dog Competition: 10.10am
Warm Up: 10.15am
Bringing your dog? Make sure to enter him/her into the Best Dressed Dog competition, which will be taking place at the main stage ?
Parking: Event Parking is available at the venue. There will be marshals to guide you to the correct car park.
Santa Suits will be available to collect on the day.
No Changing Facilities: The Santa Suits do go over most items of clothing, if you are picking your Santa Suit up on the day.
Route Accessibility: The route is on pavement and is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
The Course: 5KM
Dogs: Please ensure you bring your own clean-up provisions. Ensure dogs are kept on a lead during the event. Dogs can be entered into the Best Dressed Dog Competition, where the winner will receive a fun festive prize.
After finishing the Peterborough Santa Fun Run & Walk you will be awarded an exclusive commemorative medal.
Photography: With the event being held in a public place, you are welcome to take videos and photos of the day. When uploading to social media, make sure to use the hashtag #FunSantaRun.

Described in Timeout as one of the "Top 10 things to do in 2016," the UK's biggest and oldest Gin Festival is back in Peterborough at a new venue. Peterborough Cathedral a glorious medieval friary complex..., will play host to a celebration of all things gin, with over 100 different gins on offer.
There will be loads of new gins and exclusive gins you won't see anywhere else plus; gin masterclasses and the opportunity to meet gin distillers in person, a gin cocktail bar, live music and gorgeous food.

On arrival you will be handed your very own Gin Festival Copa Balloon Glass and a brochure that tells you all about the gins at the festival.
Our bars operate on a cashless token system and do not take cash. Once you have credited an online token account, you will be able to top up using a debit or credit card before, and during the event to escape the queues! Top up £5 for each G&T. Not sure how much to spend? £20 equals 4 delicious gins! Top up as many times as you need during the festival.
Throughout the event there will be live music and entertainment, talks from gin industry experts, delicious food and lots of chit chat with other gin lovers!

Peterborough Christmas Lights Switch-On Open Event
The council is working with Queensgate shopping centre to make this year’s Christmas lights switch-on the best yet.View Event →
The event is taking place on Saturday 18 November in Cathedral Square and will include a packed programme of entertainm...ent for all the family.
The big switch-on will take place at 5pm with Father Christmas, the Mayor, and the Leader of the Council, Councillor John Holdich, pressing the button.
Proceedings will then move to Queensgate for the centre's own switch-on. Starting at 5.30pm, crowds can expect plenty of entertainment including the official opening of Father Christmas’ grotto in North Square at 6pm.
CATHEDRAL SQUARE LIGHT SWITCH ON SCHEDULE:
1pm: Welcome and start.
1.10pm - 2pm: Josh Lovatt Heart FM DJ set.
2pm - 2.20pm: JC Salsa Christmas salsa performances.
2.25pm - 2.50pm: Tom Korni .The “One Boyband” performs well-known songs all on his own, playing his own instruments and drums himself.
2.55pm - 3.15pm: Peterborough Voices Women’s choir performing Christmas songs.

After thousands of families gather for the festive countdown in Cathedral Square at 5pm, Queensgate is invitin...g everyone to come inside afterwards for music, entertainment AND the chance to win a dream trip to Lapland.
Courtesy of Thomas Cook, one lucky person will win a magical and unforgettable family day trip to Lapland. Travelling on Friday 15 December 2017, the trip Includes flights and the chance to meet Santa and his helpers at the enchanting Santa’s Village, as well as Rudolph and friends. There is chance to experience a husky sled ride and to join the mystical Shaman for the Ceremony of Crossing the Arctic Circle. Lunch with drinks is included and children aged 2-12 years receive a gift.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the big man himself. On this day, Santa’s grotto opens in Queensgate’s Central Square and he begins making his list from all the good boys and girls.
